The Windham, Maine Area

The Angler’s Way community is the centrally located for enjoying Maine’s outdoors without compromising convenience.

Route 302 stretches through the town of Windham and is where residents can find a variety of activities from shopping, restaurants, and diners to drive-in movie theaters, mini golf courses, and hills for snowtubing. The town also borders a few of the area’s fresh-water lakes, including Little Sebago, Highland Lake, and Sebago Lake, Maine’s deepest lake. Just up the road, Raymond Beach is open to the public and popular year-round. In the summer, locals take advantage of swimming and boating in the warm waters, and in the winter, the lake freezes over creating the ideal surface for skating and ice fishing.

Just over an hour north, there are ski resorts like Shawnee Peak and Sunday River, and a half hour west meets Maine’s beloved rocky coast. Portland, a city that has been making headlines for the past few years for its top-notch dining scene, is thirty minutes south. Greater Portland is also home to a number of notable local colleges and down the street is Saint Joseph’s College on the shores of Sebago Lake.

Our community at Angler’s Way borders Windham’s celebrated Donnabeth Lippmann Park. Residents can follow a path into the park to enjoy 123 acres of hiking, biking, and snowshoe trails. In the center, Chaffin Pond is a well-kept secret for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and ice skating.
